Che cos'è l'indicazione H400
Testo ufficiale dell'indicazione H400 (Allegato III del CLP): «Molto tossico per gli organismi acquatici.»
Le indicazioni di pericolo (codici H) descrivono la natura e, se del caso, il grado del pericolo di una sostanza o miscela. Il testo ufficiale di ogni codice è stabilito dall'Allegato III del CLP, uguale per tutte le sostanze, e in etichetta va riportato per esteso. Il codice H400 si riconosce dalla classe di pericolo a cui è associato e dal pittogramma con cui compare.

Il codice H400 va riportato per esteso sull'etichetta CLP del prodotto, insieme a pittogramma, avvertenza e consigli di prudenza (P), e nella sezione 2 della scheda dati di sicurezza. Per le miscele, la presenza dell'indicazione dipende dalla concentrazione della sostanza e dagli eventuali limiti specifici.
